Paul M. Montrone, Ph.D.
In 1996, Dr. Montrone accepted the invitation to become a member of the new FNIH Board of Directors, agreeing to serve as its first Treasurer a year later. Seeing the importance of securing this emerging foundation's fiscal strength, he took unprecedented and generous steps to ensure that it had the resources and momentum it needed to accomplish its mission. His unwavering support and steadfast leadership over 24 years of service on the Board have helped to build the Foundation into the successful organization that it is today.
For all that he has done for the FNIH and for biomedical research, we salute Dr. Montrone and gratefully acknowledge his incomparable quarter century of contributions that extend far beyond into the future.
